ARCHBISHOP JANANI LUWUM TRUST UK
The Archbishop Janani Luwum Trust UK is a registered charity in England and Wales. Registration Number 1110006. Registered June 2005
The Trusts Objectives are:
- The advancement of the Christian Religion, both within the UK and overseas, in particular by the celebration of the life ministry and witness of Archbishop Janani Luwum, or by such other exclusively charitable means as the trustees shall from time to time determine.
- The advancement of education in Africa by the support and development of an Archbishop Janani Luwum Anglican University from the Janani Luwum Theological College in Northern Uganda, and the provision of adult literacy, and the establishment of a scholarship fund for pastors' children, orphans and disadvantaged children generally in Northern Uganda, Southern Sudan and North Eastern Congo.
- The relief of poverty, hardship and distress, and the relief of sickness among persons in need throughout Africa, in particular those suffering as a result of conflict, loss of public order or social unrest.
